I went to the Milwaukee County Zoo after a big snow storm in late December several years ago. Besides the caretakers, I was pretty much the only person wandering around the Zoo. There was at least a foot of new snow on the ground and it was a crisp 23 degrees Fahrenheit. I was able to get several photographs of the heavy snow on the trees.
The highlight of this Zoo visit was seeing Stella, the beautiful jaguar. She was posing so nicely and was watching the visitors on the other side of the glass. I was mesmerized, looking through the lens and into her beautiful eyes! There weren't many people in the Cat House by then, so I had plenty of room to set up my tripod.
